Passionate about giving everyone during a difficult legal process access to open and respectful conversions Jane has specialised in helping children. This means we can consult with children experiencing parental separation to give them an independent voice in the process and put forward what current research suggests is the best approach to post separation parenting. 

Jane works from a neutral and confidential setting that is situated in the central business district of Hobart and accessible to all clients.  She also travels to meet client needs by negotiation.

Jane Ross Mediation is a premium service and as such does not receive government funding or subsidies. Jane Ross Mediation proudly boasts an exceptional service catered to the clients particular needs and one entrenched in respect, professionalism and expertise.

With a background in law, Jane has worked in conflict resolution for over 15 years and has a vast experience over many specialty areas from family law property, children, court-ordered conciliation and Wills and Estates. Jane is well renowned and senior in the role and continues to mentor and help develop those who are new to the profession.

Jane is continually upskilling, undertaking professional development and training on emerging best practice models and new approaches to conflict resolution in line with current research and outcomes.  Jane's model  relies on several proven approaches to conflict resolution from a facilitative method, therapeutic, collaborative or conciliatory depending on the circumstances.  Jane is comfortable working with unrepresented, individual  parties as well as those who have lawyers, financial advisers, psychologists  or other experts in a collaborative approach to conflict resolution.

Jane is professional and extremely skilled in her practice and boasts a very high resolution rate, but more so she is reputed for her calm and measured approach in mediating and facilitating whereby clients report feeling heard and respected.

Jane understands that the legal process is a daunting and unknown one for most people and she endeavours to accompany her clients through the process in an informed and supported way.

Jane advocates for a healthy work life balance and when she is not facilitating or chairing a training forum, mediation or conciliation she can be found in the gym, practising yoga or spending time with her children.
